Newly arrived at the Ludoplex Québec, Texas Hold'em is now the most popular poker game in the world, pitting one player's hand against the hands of others.

Electronic Texas Hold'em poker uses a revolutionary new poker terminal that combines the best of online and live versions of the game to create the ultimate poker experience. Essentially, it's fun and social like live poker, and accurate and fast like online poker.

Our new Texas Hold'em poker section is fully integrated into the modern, friendly and secure environment of the Ludoplex Québec. With the Ludo Bar located nearby, players can enjoy a quick bite and beverage, while the screens mounted in the section allow sports fans to enjoy their favourite events when taking a break from the poker action.

How to Play

The object of the game

Using seven (7) cards, get a five-card (5) hand which ranks higher than that of the other players.

The game

The maximum number of players authorized to play Texas Hold'em at the same time is ten (10).

The marker

At the beginning of each game, a puck is moved clockwise to each play position to determine the dealing order and the order of the betting rounds. At the beginning of the first game, the puck is placed in front of the first position on the right side of the terminal.

Blind bets

Blind bets must be posted by the first and second players on the left of the position identified by the puck. Each of these players must post a "small blind" and a "big blind" before the first card is dealt. The amount of these bets must be within the limits indicated on the terminal.

The first dealing round and the first betting round

Beginning with the first player on the left of the player identified by the puck, the terminal gives each player in turn a first card, dealt face down, and then a second card, also dealt face down. Once all players have received both their cards, the first betting round begins. Players may call the big blind, raise or fold.

"The Flop" and the second betting round

The terminal burns the top card and then deals three community cards called "The Flop". Players then proceed with the second betting round.

"The Turn" and the third betting round

The terminal burns the top card and then deals a fourth community card called "The Turn". A third betting round follows.

"The River" and the fourth betting round

The terminal burns the top card and then deals a fifth community card called "The River". A fourth and final betting round then takes place.

Player options

During the betting rounds, situation permitting, the player may:

Pass (Check): Decline to place a bet but retain the right to do so later if an opponent places a bet.
Bet: Place a bet in the pot.
Call: Match the preceding player's bet.
Raise: Bet an amount higher than the amount bet by the preceding player.
Fold: Stop placing bets and forfeit the right to win the pot.

The showdown

During the showdown, each player who is still in the game and still has his two (2) cards forms the highest possible ranking five-card (5) poker hand in order to win the pot. He may use his two (2) cards and three (3) of the five (5) community cards, one (1) of his two (2) cards and four (4) of the five (5) community cards, or all five (5) community cards.

The pot

The player with the highest ranking hand at the end of the showdown wins the pot. If two or more players have identical hands, the pot is split evenly among these players.

The cards

Texas Hold'em is played with a standard fifty-two-card deck. In decreasing order, the rank of the cards is as follows: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2. An Ace may be used to complete a straight flush or an Ace-2-3-4-5 straight.

The combinations

The ranking of Texas Hold'em Poker combinations, in decreasing order, is as follows:

Royal flush: Ace-King-Queen-Jack-10 of the same suit.
Straight flush: Five cards of the same suit in consecutive ranking.
Four-of-a-kind: Four cards of the same rank.
Full house: Three-of-a-kind and a pair.
Flush: Five cards of the same suit.
Straight: Five cards in consecutive ranking, regardless of suit.
Three-of-a-kind: Three cards of the same rank.
Two pairs: Two pairs.
Pair: Two cards of the same rank.
High card: The highest ranking card.

When more than one five-card (5) hand contains identical combinations, the five-card (5) hand with the highest ranking card that is not part of any of the above combinations is the winning hand. However, if all the cards that are not part of a combination are of equal rank, the hands are considered to be identical.

Electronic Poker Terminal

The card

Players can obtain an electronic Texas Hold'em PokerPro card at a cashier's cage in the amount of their choice. Check the waiting list for your terminal and seat number. You buy into a game when you sit down, and money is added to your card automatically when you leave. To cash out, simply return to the cashier's cage.

The screen

Cup your hands in front of the screen and your hole cards will flip up. Take your hands away and they flip down. When it's your turn, your monitor will light up and action buttons will be displayed on your screen. Click the button that indicates how you would like to proceed.

Electronic roulette

The latest arrival at the Ludoplex Gaming hall of Québec, electronic roulette can now be played at individual stations equipped with touch screens. The game includes an automated virtual roulette wheel surrounded by betting spots and offers players a gaming experience that is just as exciting as a roulette table.

How to Play

How to Play

The player records his bets on a touch screen; once all bets have been placed, the ball is automatically thrown in the roulette wheel and the image is transmitted live to the players' screens. Bets and payout charts are identical to those in effect at a roulette table.

Select a language

Select the language of your choice by touching the flag at the right of the screen.

Insert money

Insert the bill in the bill acceptor. The game accepts Canadian bank notes in the following denominations: $5, $10, $20. Make sure that all the bills you insert are credited by the machine.

Place your bets

American roulette has two bet categories:

• Inside bets allow the player to bet on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 numbers with a single wager;
• Outside bets allow the player to bet on 12 or 18 numbers with a single wager.

Choose 1, 5 or 10 times the betting unit and touch the screen according to where you want to place the bet (straight up, split, corner, etc.).

Touch the same betting spot again to add a second betting unit, and so on.

• The types of bets are identical to those of a roulette table except the split bets 00-2 and 0-2, offered by American roulette.
• Betting spots are identical to those on a roulette table except for sixlines which must be selected on the upper line of column 36.

Touch the call neighbour bets button to access the neighbours and final screen in order to make a series of bets by touching a single button.

Bet until "No more bets" is displayed on the screen.

View the game live for the results

View the action on screen as the ball comes to rest on the winning number. A picture-in-picture image shows the ball's final revolutions on the wheel.

• After each game, the winning number lights up and all winning wagers are identified.
• The total amount won during the game will then be displayed in the win box.

Touch the "I" button to display the last winning numbers.

For assistance

Press the call attendant button for assistance.

Cashing out

Press the cash button to receive a credit slip. Make sure that the number of credits on the slip matches the number of credits displayed.

Exchange the credit slip

Hand in your credit slip to a cashier to receive your cash. The coupon is redeemable only from a Ludoplex cashier.
